For a sweet little girl’s first birthday I was asked to created this cake.
The color theme is pink and purple with a large number “1” cut out from gumpaste sitting on top of the cake.
There are also little butterflies ‘flying’ around the cake.

It was little Knox’s 2nd birthday and the party was themed around Disney Pixar’s movie Cars.
Tow Mater is one of Knox’s favorite characters so he got special attention. There is a race track going around the cake on the cake board.
The sides imitate the desert like landscape of the movie’s setting.

Little Jak had requested a birthday cake themed after Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story.
He is the astronaut toy so the cake was designed in a universe theme. Aside from Buzz there is a large orange planet and many little stars and planets around the cake.

For a little boy’s first birthday this Winnie the Pooh themed cake was created. And exclusively for the little birthday boy a tiny smash cake was included.

This tiered cake was created for a little girl’s third birthday.

For a boy’s birthday this cake in shape of an army tank with camouflaged exterior was created.
It uses oreo cookies and cookie sticks for embellishments.

This Spiderman Cakes was actually created for a girl’s birthday.
It is decorated with red fondant and a spiderweb piped from black royal icing. Gumpaste high-rise buildings and spiderman decorations complete the design.

Did you ever hear about ube or purple yam cake before? I surely did not.
However, should you be from the Philippines or of Filipino heritage you probably have heard of this specialty before. Because ube cake come from the Philippines.
Someone asked me to make a ube cake. Not minding that I had not heard of it or bakes one before I was curious and wanted to try this color rich cake.
I used Google for some research and come across some great websites and recipes and here is my creation:

I had a lot of fun creating this casino and poker themed birthday cake. Also the outcome is a very fun-looking cake that resembles a poker table. Everything on it is make from edible products.
But not only the outside was colorful but so was the inside. It was actually two cakes stacked on top of each other.
Most exiting to create were the hand-drawn fondant playing cards. While it seemed like a challenging, almost daunting task at first, it turned into a really fun project that helped me believe more into my own abilities.
